Wonderful Winter Wedding
A lot of our enquiries recently have been for the corporate market but we haven’t forgotten about our lovely brides and grooms! Below is a case study on a wonderful winter wedding we are going to be providing music for in December.
Allie & John came to us as they had seen us perform at their friend’s wedding a couple of years ago. We love when this happens! They may have taken a card at the time, or just made a mental note, but the fact that 2 years later they think of us for their band means so much!
They have a winter theme and have so many ideas which they are really excited about such as, a white carpeted tree lined aisle for their ceremony. A snow machine instead of confetti!!!!! An ice sculptured bar! Those are just a few of their many, awesome ideas.
So, what can we offer to fit within this theme? Well, first of all we are providing a small choir of singers for the ceremony. We were asked to prepare a collection of snow themed songs whilst guests arrived so they will be performing songs such as Baby It’s Cold Outside, Let It Snow, and Love Is An Open Door from Frozen. (Allie is a Frozen fan!). The choir will serenade the guests as they take their seats and await Allie’s arrival. As she arrives, they will begin a completely acapella version of ‘Walking In The Air’ from The Snowman. Spine tingling!
For the signing of the register, the choir will be joined by our pianist and trumpet player for a fantastic version of ‘I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm’ by Billie Holliday, which has a real fun, jazz vibe to it.
The extra musicians will then stay to perform the walking out song, which Allie & John have chosen to be ‘All You Need Is Love’ by the Beatles.
As the guests go through to their drinks reception, which sounds like it is going to be a gorgeous winter wonderland, they will be greeted by the sounds of our jazz trio playing some instrumental jazz tunes.
Over dinner, our pianist is going to play a mixture of instrumental pop and Christmas songs. Allie & John wanted to include Christmas songs as part of their winter wedding theme, but didn’t want it to be too over the top, so we thought just a hint to Christmas with some instrumental songs was a nice touch. Just to add, our pianist will be performing on a white baby grand piano which is being hired in to add to ‘the look’!
After dinner the guests move in to a more cosy room, where there will be a fire burning and some iced cocktails being served. Allie & John wanted this to be a nice chill out time for the guests so we have booked our saxophonist to serenade them with some chilled tunes along with backing tracks.
The main room will be being turned round for the evening and we are so impressed with Allie & John’s creativity for dreaming up two completely different looks for the meal and the party.
For their first dance, the guests will be behind a reveal screen which will pull back to Allie & John in the middle of a beautiful glass dance floor, with our 12 piece band behind them all dressed in white. Their first dance, which is choreographed, will be ‘Snowflakes of Love’ by Toni Braxton which will be performed by our 12 piece band. We have created a really atmospheric arrangement which builds to a great crescendo and key change, at which point indoor fireworks will go off!
We love working with clients who have a strong idea in their head, and we love seeing those ideas come to life.
We equally love when clients don’t have any ideas and come to us for inspiration! So whatever ideas you have or don’t have for your wedding, get in touch with us as we would love to be involved in your special day. email@example.com 01483 511 500
